Dear family, friends and partners,
** Praise the Lord with us! – In August we had very good “farewells” to the ministries, disciples and friends we were involved with during our 17 years in San Juan del Rio.
** Praise the Lord with us! - Our move to Canton, TX for a one year home assignment went well, with only minor problems on the road and no problems at the border. We are now settled here and have started homeschool.
** Praise the Lord with us!- for good medical help– in the middle of our packing, Scott got kidney stones for the first time in his life. He had surgery (also a first for him) to remove 3 stones in Mexico and passed another 8 stones… all in one month.
** Praise the Lord with us!- Francisco, Scott’s disciple in San Juan, has made some good decisions in the past month and is maturing in his relationship with Christ.
The Yinglings’ Top 4 Prayer Requests for September 2010
1. Pray for wisdom for Scott as he works with the ObreroFiel leadership team at our mission headquarters. He goes to Dallas (about 50 minutes from Canton) regularly for meetings.
2. Pray for provision of additional financial and human resources urgently needed to keep up with the growth of ObreroFiel.
3. Pray for Josiah as he explores college and work options. He also plans to get this driver’s license soon.
4. Pray that the ministries (church plant, second new group, Community Outreach Center, and 10 bookstores) & disciples left in San Juan del Rio would fulfill their specific purposes & glorify God.
5. Pray for the family as we have never spent more than a couple of months in the States. This home assignment year will be a huge cultural adjustment after 18 years in Mexico.
Thanking God for your partnership in the ministry, Scott & Ruth

Our 20 hour drive to Dallas was extended because of some car problems. We are thankful for safety in travel as it is much more dangerous in Mexico these days. We caravaned with another missionary family coming up for home assignment.

This is the first time we've traveled with pets. Taking 2 dogs and a cat certainly added to the adventure.
